On March 3, we begin a new Sunday Talk Series: “Being the Light, Redeeming Darkness; The Paths of Creation Spirituality”
In his book “Original Blessings” Matthew Fox offers us a new way to understand our relationship to Spiritual reality—moving away from sin-and-punishment theology and moving towards a mystical union with the Divine. We are here to discover the creative intelligence and infinite love of God that is already within us, and to release any ideas or beliefs in separation and unworthiness. As we prepare to celebrate Easter, we will explore the four paths of Creation Spirituality as a template for our personal journey of awakening, that we may step powerfully into a brilliant new chapter of our own becoming.
Sunday, March 3: “The Path of Awe“
Rev. Stacy Collins
“What we are all more or less lacking at this moment is a new definition of holiness.”
– Teilhard de Chardin
Have you ever noticed how adept your mind is at labeling every experience? Almost instantaneously, things are labeled as good/bad, welcome/unwelcome, and on and on… Over time, we start to filter life through these labels, obscuring our view of the beauty and sacredness that are alive and present in every moment. The antidote? Invite a sense of awe and wonder into your life and experience a profound joy and appreciation that is here for you; right here, right now.
Parents: Please sign in your children in at the Youth & Family Ministry Building before the service.
Join us in person or watch our livestream on the Unity of Houston app or…
You can also visit the Media Center section of our website for previous lessons and meditations.
Our Sunday morning services are open for in-person attendance and they are livestreamed. They are our most well-attended services during the week. These services incorporate an uplifting music program, guided meditation and a positive, thought-provoking message delivered. Our Youth & Family Ministry is open, currently for children 18 months and older. For more information, visit https://unityhouston.org/family-children/youth/
