“DAVID & GOLIATH – How Fear Falls in the Presence of Love ”

THE MYSTICAL, MIRACULOUS METAPHYSICAL BIBLE
Ancient Stories. Inner Awakening.
with Mark Anthony Lord
There was a time when the Bible felt frightening to me. I knew it as a book that was used to shame, condemn, control, and divide.
Then, while studying at Unity Village in the early 1990s, I was introduced to Metaphysical Bible Interpretation, and everything changed.
For the first time, the stories came alive.
No longer trapped in literalism, fear, or the impossible pressure to defend every word as historical fact, I discovered something far more transformational: these stories are our stories. The characters, places, battles, betrayals, miracles, and homecomings all represent states of consciousness within us.
They reveal the soul’s journey from fear to love, from separation to awakening, from forgetting to remembering who we truly are.
Metaphysical Bible study healed my relationship with scripture and opened my heart to the deeper love, wisdom, and presence of God woven throughout it all.
It is one of the greatest honors of my life to bring this transformational teaching to Unity of Houston for this special two-week series.
Week One: DAVID & GOLIATH – How Fear Falls in the Presence of Love
Our inner work is the process of identifying and releasing every thought pattern or belief that separates us from the truth of our connection to God. Michael Bernard Beckwith puts it this way, “Our spiritual work is subtractive!” There is nothing we add to ourselves to make us more holy or worthy. Our evolution is revelation. When we discover the patterns that keep us blocked, it can feel frustrating that we still have more to do. The blessing here is that the more of this sacred labor we are willing to take up, the freer we can become.
Parents: Please sign your kids in at their classrooms, and then take them to Wallet Hall for Pre-session activities from 10:30 – 11:00.
