“Dissolving the Wall”
Rev. Stacy Collins
Principle Four
Prayer connects us to God: “Affirmative prayer and meditation align our minds with God, bringing forth wisdom, healing, and good.”
Sometimes our challenges, problems- even our goals and aspirations- take up so much space that we lose sight of the larger reality we’re held in. When it feels like everything is pressing in, we can feel anxious and unmoored. Prayer and meditation offer us a way to shift our awareness—not to escape what’s happening, but to reconnect with the deeper Presence that holds it all.
This Sunday, we’ll explore these practices as pathways back to our center and into the awareness of the Divine within and around us. In that sacred space, the invisible wall we imagine between self and God dissolves, and oneness is realized.
Parents: Please sign your kids in at their classrooms, and then take them to Wallet Hall for Pre-session activities from 10:30 – 11:00.
Join us in person or watch our livestream on the Unity of Houston app or…
You can also visit the Media Center section of our website for previous lessons and meditations.
Our Sunday morning services are open for in-person attendance and they are livestreamed. They are our most well-attended services during the week. These services incorporate an uplifting music program, guided meditation, and a positive, thought-provoking message delivered. Our Youth & Family Ministry is open, currently for children 18 months and older. For more information, visit https://unityhouston.org/family-children/youth/
