Sunday, July 9: “How to Pray and Meditate”
Rev. Michael Gott
One of the gifts of “how-to spirituality” is that we can use the spiritual tools of prayer and meditation, whether we are feeling connected, or not. By simply choosing to sit in mediation, and choosing to align our mind with Spirit in affirmative prayer, we can reshape our consciousness, and therefore our experience. In every moment, these centuries-old, tested and proved spiritual practices are available for us, to help us experience greater peace and power in our lives.
Parents: Please sign in your children in the sanctuary lobby on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of each month. On other Sundays, please sign them in at the Youth & Family Ministry building.
July Talk Series: “How-to Spirituality”
A great paradox of the spiritual life is that we are seeking to understand Infinite Reality, and it will always be greater than our human minds can hold. God is Mystery. And yet, we can grow in our understanding of spiritual principles and in our experience of the presence and power of God. And there are practical things we can do to deepen and expand our spiritual lives. For this series, Rev. Michael will offer practical, repeatable, useful actions and ideas that will move us forward on our path—every time! Our founders spoke of Unity as being “practical Christianity.” These teachings are not merely for contemplation. They are meant to be used!
The east section of the balcony is reserved for masking and distancing.

Our Sunday morning services are open for in-person attendance and they are livestreamed. They are our most well-attended services during the week. These services incorporate an uplifting music program, guided meditation and a positive, thought-provoking message delivered. Our Youth & Family Ministry is open, currently for children 18 months and older. For more information, visit https://unityhouston.org/family-children/youth/
