“The Power of Giving Thanks”

Gratitude is not always easy. Spiritual teacher Lisa Nichols says, “Everything is a gift, but some come wrapped in sandpaper.” Giving thanks IN all things is a spiritual practice, not a feeling. When we develop this practice, we become expanded. We give thanks for the abundant blessings that support our lives, and this opens us to more blessings, more support. We give thanks in the difficult times, and we become stronger and more resilient. Our gratefulness comes from our faith, not from outer circumstances. This is what led Horatio Stafford to write these powerful lyrics in the great hymn It is Well with My Soul: “Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, ‘It is well, it is well with my soul.'”
Parents/Guardians: Please sign your kids in to the classroom from 10:45 am – 11:05 am. Teachers begin class at 11:05 am, and late entries can disrupt the class.
