“Just Say No”
Rev. Michael Gott
“A being is free only when it can determine and limit its activity.”
Karl Barth
The companion teaching to our message “Just Say Yes” from last Sunday is that our “no” is also powerful in our lives. We are given the freedom to choose in this life. We cannot say “yes” to everything. And everything we do say “yes” to means that we are saying “no” to countless other possibilities. How do we decide? Discernment is a powerful tool. Asking ourselves this simple question can clear our path in powerful ways: “Does this choice expand me and increase my livingness?” If it does not, perhaps it’s time to learn the power of our “no.”
Parents: Please sign your kids in at their classrooms, and then take them to Wallet Hall for Pre-session activities from 10:30 – 11:00.
Join us in person or watch our livestream on the Unity of Houston app or…

Our Sunday morning services are open for in-person attendance and they are livestreamed. They are our most well-attended services during the week. These services incorporate an uplifting music program, guided meditation, and a positive, thought-provoking message delivered.
