DESCRIPTION:“Judge Not”\n\n\n\nRev. Michael Gott \n\n\n\n“Do not judge\, or you too will be judged.  For in the same way you judge others\, you will be judged\, and with the measure you use\, it will be measured to you.” Matthew 7:1-2  \n\n\n\nUnity and the New Thought Movement occupy a unique place in the world’s spiritual traditions. Though we emerged in the West\, we share a philosophical foundation with the Eastern traditions. Namely\, nonduality. We follow the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth\, but not necessarily all the doctrine and dogma contained in the various branches of the religion formed in his name. We see Jesus as a way-shower\, our master teacher. In his sermon on the mount\, he shares deep truths that are easily understood. His famous saying “Do not judge” is perhaps his most well-known\, yet least well-practiced commandment. He points us to the deep truth that we judge others from our own misguided understanding of reality and of ourselves. Stacy Collins \n\n\n\nSadness often arrives unasked for\, an unexpected invitation to loosen our grip—on people\, expectations\, identities.  If we have the view that  sadness is a flaw in the order of things\, we can find ourselves in resistance or denial.  We may find ourselves believing that we need to keep our sadness hidden from others.  There is another way.
