Scientific evidence shows that drumming improves mood\, increases creativity\, reduces stress\, lowers blood pressure\, strengthens the immune system\, and more. In addition drumming is good for exercise and self-expression. Bring a drum or percussion instrument if you have one. We do have some to share. \nCindy St. Cyr is the founder of the Houston Music and Wellness Center. She harnesses the power of music for transformation and healing and specializes in music wellness programs that reduce stress and anxiety\, foster camaraderie\, and promote life-empowering changes. \nCindy is a professional musician who leads drum circles\, conducts sound healing sessions\, and sings soothing jazz. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of St. Thomas and studied music therapy at Sam Houston State University.
