“Wise Heart – Holding the World in Kindness: A Psychology of Compassion”

Facilitated by Rev. Shirley Knight

Everything is interconnected in life, and through spiritual practices we expand our awareness of this way of Being.  As we “open the boundaries of consciousness,” we naturally and intuitively embody compassion.  Compassion is strong, active, and courageous and involves maintaining clear boundaries.  Compassion is the antidote to feeling numb or unworthy.  Both Unity and Buddhism teach that we suffer, not because we are sinners, but because we have forgotten our connection with Oneness.  Join us as we meditate on and explore chapter 2 of Jack Kornfield’s illuminating book The Wise Heart: A guide to the Universal Teachings of Buddhist Psychology.

Masks are optional on the lower floor. Masks required for balcony seating.

is a Sanskrit word that means “spiritual discourse or sacred gathering.”

Join Rev. Jeanmarie Eck in this ancient Eastern tradition as we deepen in universal spiritual principles through sacred chant, teaching, inquiry and meditative practice in the company of others.
