October 13, 2024 @ 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm
Facilitated by Rev. Michael Gott and Cindy Wigglesworth
In this turbulent election year with all its accompanying division and blame, it can be difficult to maintain our poise and peace. While we can’t always control outer conditions or manage the decisions and actions taken by others, we can change our own perspectives and take up practices that will help to anchor us in spiritual truth. Cindy Wigglesworth and Michael Gott will each be teaching a practice that can help us navigate these times with greater wisdom and ease, and guide us to taking positive, effective action in the world.
- Polarity Management: a tool that can help us see beyond Red vs. Blue, good vs. bad, and us vs. them. We can set healthy boundaries, hold true to our values AND open our minds to see deeper truths. Moving from dominantly seeing things as either/or choices to sometimes seeing that both sides are partially correct creates inner calm and makes wisdom and compassion possible.
- Fear to Faith: This practice helps us identify the places where we are bringing our own false beliefs to external situations. It gives us a “releasing prayer” practice to help us heal our own past, so that we can face life’s challenges from a place of wholeness and truth.
