June Series: “It Takes Practice”
“Inspiration without action is merely entertainment.” — Mary Morrisey
The beauty of Unity teachings is that they are practical! That’s the good news and the challenge. They don’t work if we don’t practice them. This month in our Sunday services, we will explore the primary spiritual practices of our tradition—from a philosophical understanding to “nuts and bolts” suggestions for putting them into our daily lives.
June 30: “Give and it will be Given unto You”
Giving and receiving are two sides of the indivisible coin we call abundance and flow. By taking up giving as a spiritual practice, we place ourselves fully into the stream of divine supply. And it’s more than our financial gifts. We also practice giving of our time, our talent and our attention. The way to increase is not through holding on to what we already have, but by giving it away with love and cheerful expectancy. Let’s learn to “live from the overflow” of God’s blessings.
