May Talk Series: “The End of Life and Beyond”
Death is a part of life. It’s the natural end to our physical existence. But we are more than our bodies. In Spirit, we partake in the eternal life of God, forever evolving and expressing the truth of our being. So what does it mean to experience the end of our human lives? For this series, we will explore both the human experience of loss, grief, and healing, as well as the spiritual experience of life beyond the veil. Join us in this journey of opening to the larger life that God has given us.
Sunday, May 3: “Blessed Are They That Mourn“
We have much to learn of the healing power of healthy grief. Sometimes as spiritual people we want to push our sadness away as we affirm the “birthless, changeless, deathless” reality of our teachings. And yet something is lost to us when a beloved dies. The physical connection is important, too. Jesus said, “Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.” We gather together to affirm the goodness of life as we grieve those who have passed beyond our sight.
RSVPs open at noon one week in advance.
