Summer is a special time at Unity of Houston! We offer things that are unique to any other time of year. And this summer is no different, even as we experience a pandemic! We are excited to tell you about the three main components of our summer programming!
1. New Sunday Talk Series (Livestream and limited seating)
First, Rev. Michael Gott presents a new Sunday Talk Series: “Free Indeed!” Each Sunday, he will guide us in an exploration of the different kinds of freedom available to us.
Sunday, July 5: “United Under God – A Day of Healing and Prayer for our Nation”
Sunday, July 12: “Freedom in Body”
Sunday, July 19: Rev. Howard Caesar will speak.
Sunday, July 26: “Mental and Emotional Freedom”
Sunday, August 2: “Financial Freedom”
2. Summer SpiritGroups (Zoom)
Second, we offer 4-week SpiritGroups, beginning the week of July 5. If you have never participated in a SpiritGroup before, this is a great time to ‘test the waters.’ Groups will meet weekly to discuss key points from Rev. Michael’s Sunday messages. Discussion guides, resources for support, and access to Zoom will be provided. All we need is you! Click here to sign up for a SpiritGroup or start a new SpiritGroup with friends!’
3. S.E.E. in the Field (Online Event)
Third, we present S.E.E. in the Field (also known as Spiritual Education and Enrichment Week), July 19-25, featuring guest instructors Revs. Drs. Jane and Gary Simmons. This is an annual event and opportunity to deepend your spiritual understanding. The theme for the week is “Evolving Consciousness.” Twelve classes will be offered in one week. You may take as many as four of them. In addition, Jane Simmons will present “You Can’t Sleep Through Your Awakening” at Wednesday Night Satsang, and on Saturday, Gary and Jane will co-present a workshop titled “The Q Process.” Click here to read more and register for classes.
