Guest Presenters: Angela Blanchard and Marlon Smith
In this session, “Beloved Community and Estuary People” we seek to talk about the way certain people exist at the intersections of various communities and how that existence offers unique perspectives on issues regarding community and personal identity, including race, gender, and sexual orientation.
Note: This is the second session of the HHA series on Race and Ethnicity for 2019. Building on our March 30th session, this session will begin with a dialogue between our two guests and then they will guide us in an Appreciative Inquiry exercise-driven session. We seek through these sessions to build deep friendships to support each other as we role model for Houston and the nation what is possible as a Beloved Community.
