Claudia Olmos

In 2011, Claudia became a Unity friend. In July of 2011, she helped start Latinas Unidas with Rev. Farolyn Mann. Under Claudia’s leadership, the group has experienced exponential growth and has provided support and opportunities for connection and spiritual growth for our Latina community. This year, Latinas Unidas will celebrate their 7th anniversary! In March 2018, Claudia was instrumental in calling a team of 8 women together to create, support, and lead the Spanish Language Service every Sunday for up to 100 people, with support from Rev. Karen Tudor. We are so grateful for the Claudia’s gifts of time and talent, and for her leadership

Cindy Wolfram

Cindy has served as a Unity Friend for many years. Cindy collaborated with Stephanie Foy to co-edit the Unity Friends Cookbook in 2011, and in 2013 to conceive and initiate Unity in the Community (UIC). Cindy has played a very important role in leading our congregation’s outreach on issues of hunger, homelessness, and youth advocacy, impacting the Houston-area community with $100,000 of services and supplies. Cindy has added to UIC involvement in the kitchens at the Beacon Day Center and she is currently spearheading UIC’s initiative of expanding the Houston Food Bank involvement at Pilgrim Academy.

Stephanie Foy

Stephanie has served as a Unity Friend for twelve years, and she created a Decorations Team in 2004 to beautify our campus for events.  She collaborated with Cindy Wolfram to co-edit the Unity Friends Cookbook in 2011, and again in 2013 to conceive and initiate Unity in the Community. In 2015, Stephanie facilitated Conscious Leadership training for our team leaders, and in 2017 she served on the Hurricane Harvey relief team. She was active in facilitating our Dialogue on Race with Dr. Jean Latting and Amy Hageman last year and continues in 2018.

Diana Tate

Diane has been attending Unity since 1989 and has served as a Unity Friend and Oneness Blessing Giver. She started facilitating Wednesday Night Empowerment Prayer Groups in 1998 and developed the Landscaping Team in 2006, still spearheading that team today, bringing beauty to our campus. She has also served as an Assistant Service Coordinator on Sunday Mornings and for Special Events, handling any emergency that may arise, among other numerous duties in that position for over ten years.

Lorna Joyce

Lorna has been attending Unity for 30 years and has been in sacred service in many areas of this ministry. In addition to her service to the Unity Choir, she selflessly gives of her time, talent, and treasure as the leader of the Youth and Family Ministry Food Team. Lorna also spearheaded Unity of Houston’s First Annual Chili Cook-off. Her dedication helps us create a YFM program that we can be proud of.

Dionne Bruff-Jones

Dionne has been volunteering at Unity for 17 years and currently serves as head usher for the 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning service and heads up the usher team for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve services. Dionne is the embodiment of Unity Principles and is a blessing to all who know her!

Cheryl Donaghe

Cheryl has served on the bulletin print team for nearly 20 years.  She comes to our Unity offices every Tuesday and prints over 1000 bulletins and gets them ready for the Bulletin Assembly Team.  Cheryl also helps with special events, decorating, and anywhere she is needed.

Trudy Denny

Trudy’s fellow volunteers describe her as Dedicated, Loyal, Big-Hearted, Service Oriented, with a loving attitude towards everyone she meets.   She does whatever is needed to make this ministry shine!

Leonarde Bonet

Leonarde became a member in January of 1991 and started volunteering shortly after joining the church. His volunteering ranges from greeting on Sunday to helping in the bookstore during the week. He is a crucial part of every event at Unity.
