Sr. Minister Howard Caesar
Reverend Howard Caesar joined the ministerial staff at Unity Church of Christianity in Houston, Texas, in 1983 after building a dynamic ministry for over seven years at Unity Church in Olympia, WA. Under his leadership, Unity Church of Christianity has grown into one of the largest Unity congregations in the Unity movement.
Each Sunday, Rev. Caesar’s message focuses on a positive, practical and progressive approach to Christianity applied to daily living. His message reaches thousands more who listen to his “Thought For The Day” weekly on radio stations KODA 99.1 FM, K-Hits 107.5 FM, and The Point 106.9 FM where he reminds listeners “Life is Meant to be Good.” Many others view him on the television broadcast “The High Way with Howard Caesar” on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. on KTBU Channel 55.
In describing one aspect of his vision for the ministry, he has coined the phrase, “A spiritual path for our time.” Rev. Caesar’s spiritual sharing has helped many find a deeper spiritual meaning in their lives while experiencing happier, healthier and more productive ways of living. On two occasions, Houston Press readers have chosen Unity Church of Christianity as “Best Place To Worship In Houston,” and Inside Houston magazine’s Best of Houston city-wide readers poll also selected the church as “Best Place of Worship.” Rev. Caesar has been featured in major articles in the Houston Chronicle and as a panelist for KHOU-Channel 11's Faith and Values segments.
As a member of the prestigious Board of Preachers at the Martin Luther King Chapel at Atlanta’s Morehouse College, Rev. Caesar is recognized as one of the foremost leaders and speakers in New Thought, traveling the world to meet with religious leaders such as his Holiness The Dali Lama. He is a founding member of the Leadership Council of the Association for Global New Thought (AGNT) and previously served on the Boards of the International New Thought Alliance (INTA) and the Association of Unity Churches.
He is the recipient of The Light of God Expressing Award, The Voice of Unity Award, and The Lifetime Achievement Award; accolades given by his peers for his dedication, commitment, and leadership.
Rev. Caesar’s friendships with many well-known speakers led to his formation of Unity Church of Christianity’s Dynamic Speaker Series, which has hosted the late Norman Vincent Peale, the late Og Mandino, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, M. Scott Peck, Neale Donald Walsch, Marianne Williamson, Gary Zukov, Gregg Braden, Cheryl Richardson and many others.
Howard Caesar attended Whitewater State University in Whitewater, Wisconsin and is a graduate of Unity School of Religious Studies in Lee's Summit, Missouri, where he was ordained in 1976. Howard and his wife Diane have three children and reside in Sugar Land, Texas.
Dian Williams
Associate Minister
Reverend Dian Williams joined the ministerial staff at Unity Church of Christianity as the associate minister overseeing Human Services Support and Wednesday Nite Live services in June of 2003. Dian became on ordained Unity minister in 1998. She currently serves as Board President for SCUCA, the South Central Unity Churches Association. Along with her husband, Rev. Ed Williams, Dian served as co-minister at Unity Center of Tulsa from 1998 through 2003. Dian holds an undergraduate degree in Nursing. Prior to studying at Unity Village, Dian served as a registered nurse for eight years and spent seven years as a successful real estate agent. Dian and her husband Ed have four children and five grandchildren.
Edwin L. Williams
Associate Minister
Reverend Ed Williams joined the ministerial staff at Unity Church of Christianity as the associate minister in June of 2003. Ed is a graduate of the Continuing Education and Ministerial Education Programs from Unity School of Religious Studies in 1996 and 1999. After having served twenty years as an officer in the United States Air Force, Ed was called into ministry in 1999. Ed served 4 years as co-minister with his wife, Reverend Dian Williams at Unity Center of Tulsa, before coming to Houston. Ed brings to this ministry a diverse background of experience and knowledge in both federal and civilian worlds. He serves this ministry as the Pastoral Care and Outreach minister. Ed holds an Undergraduate Degree in Microbiology and a Master of Arts in Management, specializing in Human Relations and Organizational Behavior.
Farolyn Mann
Associate Minister
Reverend Farolyn Mann joined the staff of Unity Church of Christianity in the position of Associate Minister in December, 2004 overseeing the Unity Friends Prayer Ministry, Adult Education, Licensed Teachers and Counseling Departments, Singles, Young Adults, Adult Sunday Classes and the Unity Bookstore. Ordained in June 2004, Farolyn brings to the ministry a thirty year history of Management and Leadership as a Senior Officer in the field of banking. In addition, she served as a Licensed Unity Teacher here at our church from 1999 until 2002 where she was the Adult Education Coordinator and Director of the Counseling Department.
Mindy Lawrence
Minister to Volunteers
Reverend Mindy Lawrence joined the ministerial staff of Unity Church of Christianity in Houston in September 2003 and oversees the ministry’s Love In Action volunteer program. Ordained in 1998, she moved to Pune, India where she founded a Unity ministry and Silent Unity in India. Mindy serves, as co-chair of the World Wide Unity Movement Team and on the Ministry/Minister Review Team at the Association of Unity Churches International. Mindy’s varied business background includes commercial real estate and commercial flooring. Prior to this, she was a substance abuse counselor.
